Importer of Record services for companies importing into the United States

About Hamburg Logistics

Built by someone who has actually moved the freight.

William Hamburg founded a global manufacturing and cacao business based in Sedona, Arizona in 2006. By 2012 he had revitalized the cacao industry in Belize, becoming the country’s largest exporter of cacao and planting more than 400,000 trees around the world, including 80,000 organic cacao trees in Belize.

The company secured partnerships with more than 800 Mayan farmers, built manufacturing facilities in Belize and Arizona, and imported certified organic Belizean and Ecuadorian cacao, producing more than 250,000 products a month.

Alongside its imports, he ran a global e-commerce catalog of more than 1,000 products across cacao, supplements, superfoods, solar panels, bedding, and more. That continued until the portfolio was acquired in 2019.

Why this site exists

Importing cacao and superfoods from origin into the United States meant living with customs valuation, classification, and entry requirements as operating problems, not abstractions.

Most companies discover how much import structure matters only after CBP asks a question they cannot document an answer to. The 2026 customs enforcement order is about to move that discovery forward for a lot of importers at once.

How we help

What Hamburg Logistics does

Hamburg Logistics matches companies importing into the US with a qualified United States Importer of Record. Where the facts support it, that provider also applies lawful tariff engineering and landed cost optimization, structured before importation, so evolving US tariff rates are met with a documented methodology.
